Q: What kind of books do you buy?
A: Only collections of 500 or MORE with a STRONG emphasis with non-fiction titles.
Q: Do you ever purchase smaller collections, or individual titles?
A: Usually not. However, individuals living in the Los Angeles area are welcome to contact us with collections of 100 books or more.
Q: How much do you pay per book on average?
A: The price we offer can vary greatly depending on many factors. With the right collection, the price can be well over $10 per book. However, collections containing more common, or less desirable titles can fall to less than $1.00 per title.
Q: How quickly can you be here to buy my books and haul them away from here?
A: We can be anywhere in the country usually within 48hrs. Many factors can come into play which can effect our response time:We don't mind coming out on-site to you within a timely manner just as long as we feel certain criteria is met beforehand.
- How well you can describe the collection i.e. photos, lists, etc.
- If you are in a major metropolis, or not.
- Are you 100% ready to part with these items?
- If we can assess your collection via mail, e-mail, or phone and offer a bid for the collection, does it fall within the range of what you were expecting?
Q: What are the more desirable items we are looking for?
A: Collections containing primarily academic, specialized or specific subjects, regional and specific histories, military, medical, guns, cars, natural history etc. Basically, the more professional and academic the collection, or the more unusual, the better. We also are only intersted in fiction titles if they are in prime, collectible condition, signed or limited editions.
